Winter-time lighting

The gas oven for warmth

I learned to beware

of the flare

Singeing eye-lash

and eyebrow

But never my hair.

Door full open,

To my straight-back chair.

Ahh, wrapped in my blanket

Pray hurry, the warming

Of winter’s night air.

    • Thanks “chmjr,

It’s interesting to look back on difficult times. I didn’t know it was difficult then! I was glad to have the oven.. !
